03 - Logistics Coordinator
There are many details involved in executing a medical innovation event on the order of The Great Hatch. Food, venue, scheduling, supplies, pitch organization, speaker and judging coordination, and audio/ visual equipment are just a few of the details involved. Logistics can make or break an event and is critical to providing a great experience for everyone involved! We’re looking for a lead in charge of logistics to ensure the weekend-long event flows easily and smoothly without any confusion or chaos.
Coordinate logistics including venue, floor plan, and scheduling for a multidisciplinary innovation event which encompasses the needs of over 170 individuals (participants, mentors, judges, volunteers, sponsor representatives, and speakers)
Organize all catering and food/ drink needs for the weekend
Organize the pitching session, team formation, and presentations during judging
Work with the Co-Directors, Personnel Coordinator, and Sponsorship Coordinator to ensure the event runs smoothly
Assist with additional hiring as necessary
Bi-weekly Team meeting (2hr)
Up to an additional 3-4 hours weekly - this will increase closer to the event date.
Desired Experience and Traits
Experience with organizing a conference/ hackathon/ large scale event (ideal)
Strong organization, collaboration, and communication skills
Experience with roles requiring close attention to details
Works well in a team setting and is reliable, proactive, professional
Strong passion/ interest for the field of medical innovation
Motivated to deliver the best event possible!
