05 - Marketing Coordinator

We may provide a great event, but The Great Hatch would be nothing without an audience and participants. As such, marketing is vital to not only to reach out to participants, but also to connect with the wider public about the accomplishments of our organization and our participants. The success of the event is strongly tied to a successful marketing campaign. We are looking for someone to lead the marketing and media efforts, prior to and during the event.  

Responsibilities

  • Create an effective marketing campaign for Hatching Health to reach out to students, professionals, academic and industry professionals, and the wider public 

  • Deliver advertising materials to participants from diverse backgrounds (healthcare, engineering, design, and business) 

  • Work closely with the Graphic Designer and Sponsorship Coordinator 

  • Engage with audiences on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc)

  • Engage with news outlets for media coverage 

Time Commitment

  • Bi-weekly team meeting (2hr)

  • Up to an additional 3-4 hours weekly - this will increase closer to the event date. 

Desired Experience and Traits

  • Prior experience with marketing a business competition/ large event (ideal)

  • Expertise with social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc) 

  • Works well in a team setting and is reliable and proactive

  • Strong passion/ interest for the field of medical innovation 

  • Motivated to deliver the best event possible!
