02 - Sponsorship Coordinator

Sponsorship is integral to a successful event as we need adequate funding for the venue, prototyping equipment, food and refreshments, swag, and much more. Additionally, this role will be critical for communication between Hatching Health and our academic/ community partners and sponsors. You will have the opportunity to network with the bigwigs - the ones who make funding decisions. If you have experience or would like to gain experience making sponsorship pitches, fundraising, and creating professional partnerships, this would be the position for you. 


  • Work closely with the Co-Directors to establish and maintain longitudinal relationships with major sponsors and academic/ community partners 

  • Organize all sponsorships for funding, food, prototyping equipment, and services, maintaining professional communication with all external organizations and persons 

  • Seek and pitch to new potential sponsors and partners to grow our network 

  • Act as the main representative to sponsor representatives during The Great Hatch 

  • Work with the Marketing Coordinator and Graphic Designer to ensure our sponsors receive all the sponsorship benefits owed to them 

Time Commitment

  • Bi-weekly team meeting (2hr)

  • Up to an additional 3-4 hours weekly - this will increase closer to the event date. 

Desired Experience and Traits

  • Experience in a previous sponsorship and/or fundraising role

  • Comfortable cold calling and pitching to businesses/ academic/ community organizations to establish professional relationships

  • Strong organization and communication skills 

  • Works well in a team setting and is reliable, proactive, professional

  • Motivated to deliver the best event possible!
